Welcome to George Erb Physical Therapy, Inc! Since opening his physical therapy practice in 1988, George Erb, PT, has been a leading Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapist in Ventura County. Though much has changed since those days when he saw patients in a small 1200 square foot office, many things remain the same. Primary among these is George’s commitment to providing his patients with the best care possible in a friendly, family-like atmosphere. George has always taken great pride in that commitment, and in the fact that patient communication and education are always at the forefront.
As the demand for his services has grown, so too has the need for larger operating space. In March of 2006, George completed the construction of a new 19,000 sq foot facility that houses both the Physical Therapy Center, as well as a new business, George Erb Fitness Center! With this new facility, George is able to offer even greater services for his patients, including an in-house therapy pool!
Since the early 1990’s George noticed that he was seeing more and more patients of all ages who were injured while exercising at local gyms. Most of these injuries were completely avoidable as they were simply to result of ill conceived training programs and advice, or, the use of poor equipment with no direction. In 2003 George embarked on a three year mission to develop a building that would be large enough to expand his physical therapy center while also allowing a new gym that would re-define the fitness experience and help prevent these types of injuries. George’s vision for this facility included state-of-the-art equipment, but more importantly, a staff of educated personal trainers who had degrees in Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, and certification as Strength and Conditioning Specialists!
The dream and mission became a reality on March 20, 2006, when George moved his physical therapy practice into such a building and simultaneously opened George Erb Fitness Center Inc. for business!
With his staff of expert Physical Therapists, George continues to offer patients the best in orthopedic rehabilitation, while also providing these patients with knowledgeable trainers in the Fitness Center to create an effective bridge to after-rehab programs! But the Fitness Center is not just for patients! It is open to the public and anyone looking for a more professional environment with expert trainers available to assist our members with their fitness goals. And, to maintain an on-going quality experience for each member, George Erb Fitness Center, Inc has a limited membership policy, unlike other gyms which continually sell more and more memberships causing significant overcrowding!
Like the Physical Therapy Center, the gym is always clean and the equipment always operational. The Fitness Center offers the top of the line in equipment from LifeFitness, FreeMotion, and MedX, while also providing individual TV on all cardio machines. A free exercise and shower towel service is also provided to compliment a full service locker room. On-Premises child care is also available and there is an array of group exercise classes, included water aerobics classes, for members to enjoy.
